Lemon – Ginger Tea

This is the perfect tea to start the day and boost digestion. It has many other health benefits actually, not to mention it’s warm and cozy going down.

Lemon and ginger are natural foods that can aid the body in boosting the immune system. Lemon is full of vitamin C and both ginger and lemon have antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties.

Have you ever noticed when you drink warm tea, you suddenly feel calm? The act of sipping this warm beverage is like a stress reliever.

  • 1 tea bag (green tea) or your choice
  • 1 tbsp organic lemon juice (fresh is best)
  • 1/2 tsp ginger (grated) or ΒΌ you can substitute tsp powder
  • 8 oz hot water
  • Add the ginger and water to a pot and bring to a low boil. Remove from heat, add tea bag and let steep for 2-3 mins. Strain, and add lemon (and honey if desired.) Honey is not vegan so I use maple syrup.
